Un-Affordable Electric Transportation is Dead.

The rise in personal electric transportation has skyrocketed over the last 5 years, and we are on a mission to make it affordable. When it comes to personal transportation, the greatest barrier to entry is always price. Here’s what we did to change that: 

1. We looked around at the popular methods of transportation currently available on the market. Electric scooters are great but they are also mundane and boring after awhile. E-bikes are better but are excessively priced. Might as well get a used motorcycle. And then there are electric skateboards. If you’ve ever ridden an electric skateboard, you’d know exactly why we chose this method of transportation. It’s an exhilarating riding experience that’s quite unlike any other. If you don’t believe us, you need to try one out. 

2. Next, we needed to make it affordable. While most electric skateboards out there use a longboard deck, we decided to use a shorter directional kicktail deck. Where other brands use dual motors, we decided to source a single, powerful hub motor instead. And where other brands used a massive battery pack, we used a smaller 2.2 aH Lithium-ion battery pack that would still have enough juice to go the distance. 

3. The result was a smaller, lightweight electric cruiser with 5 miles of range and a top speed of 12mph. One that would be perfect for short urban trips and errands. A personal transportation vehicle that was light enough to carry with you. That could be easily stored in a locker if needed. And best of all, that was affordable. Because there’s no point in creating something that 95% of people can’t afford.
